Shaman PvE Tips
PvE Tips:
1) Put disease/poison cleansing totems in a good place on your hotbar. You will be a hero to the healer in your party if you can pop that totem to cleanse the party and then turn around and put back down mana totem.
2) Sort of along the same lines as #1... Don't make the mistake of dropping totems at the begining of a fight and just being content with that. During the fight pay attention and rotate totems in and out. (I.e. if you see a caster starting to cast, drop grounding totem, when it's hit put WF or AGI back down.)
3) Keep rank 1 earthshock and frostshock hotkeyed for cheap spell interrupts/snares.
4) Stoneclaw totem works great for mobs with pets (as long as they're not ranged attackers like imps).
5) If a fight is going against you, don't wait until you're low on health to heal.
6) Don't bother dropping untalented fire nova totem unless you have (or someone has) strong aggro on all the mobs you're fighting. Otherwise it *will* get smacked and you'll have wasted a significant chunk of mana.
7) Stoneskin totem is pretty much worthless unless you're very low level or fighting lots of small, weak mobs (like those damn piranha-like fish in Zangermarsh). Regardless it won't negate all damage (mobs will do at least a point) and does nothing against spell pushback.
8) You can (or used to be able to) chaincast Far Sight to explore inaccessible areas.
9) Totem weapon buffs are inferior to your own weapon buffs, so don't rely on windfury totem to buff your offhand.
