Useful Shaman Macros

The patch added a number of new abilities and class changes that made a lot of old macros obsolete. It's about time to get an updated macro thread. I'm primarily an enhancement shaman, so most of my macros are for their spells. Please post useful macros you have for the other specs.

If you want to do something else, there's probably a macro for it. Post here if you need one found or made for you.

Enhancement macros:

This is a one-button macro for summoning ghost wolves and having them attack your target. Holding shift will have them attack your mouseover target. Holding ctrl will stop them from attacking and return them to your side.

/cast wind shock

This macro stops any spell from casting and will use wind shock. It's good for when it's more important to interrupt a spell instead of casting one of your own.

Both of these will start your autoattack when you use either lava lash or stormstrike. It's useful to start doing damage when either is on cooldown.

/equipslot 17 NAME OF YOUR SHIELD

This will activate shamanistic rage and equip a shield. Good for when you're about to take a lot of damage or accidentally pull aggro.

Just click this one once. It'll show the pet tab when your wolves are active. It'll let you see your wolve's stats and how buffs affect them.

/use [nomodifier:shift] Medallion of the Horde

It'll use your Medallion of the Horde when you hit it. If you hold down shift, it'll cast healing wave on yourself. This is useful for healing yourself in PvP when you have a 5-stack of maelstrom weapon. It saves space if you're like me and don't have 8 fingers on each hand.

This will cast windfury on your main hand when you click and flametongue on your offhand when you shift-click. It'll automatically click accept for overwriting previous buffs. The Staticpopup1button1 bit can interfere with some mods and can do some strange things, but if it doesn't it ends up being a very helpful macro

General shaman macros:

/say Resurrecting %t.

This macro will announce that you're resurrecting someone. Use %t in place of your target's name. It won't spam unless the target is dead and you're out of combat. It'll also shift you out of ghostwolf.

/castsequence reset=combat/20 Poison Cleansing Totem, Earthbind Totem, Grounding Totem, Searing Totem

One-buttom macros for dropping all your totems. First is for a raid/group situation and the second is good for arena when you know there's a rogue around. They'll reset after 20 seconds or when you leave combat so you start with your most important totems later.

General macros:

This is a smart vent macro that'll spam your vent info in party or raid depending on which you're in.
