Blackrock Foundry is a 10/30-man (20 Mythic) raid in Gorgrond introduced with Warlords of Draenor.

The Blackrock Foundry, a place of great craftsmanship and labor. But all greatness comes with a price. These orcs are the primary armorers of the Draenor armies, spending their days and nights hammering upon their anvils. Burning deep within their hearts is a respect for their great leader Blackhand, known as the Destroyer. With the powers of strength and smithing these orcs hope to reshape the world according to the image of the best craftsman in all of Draenor. The Foundry abides in the burning hot depths of the mountains ofGorgrond.

• Maps: The center of each raid page contains all maps with markers for each boss. You can swap between floors via the option at the top right of the map. Clicking on the map enlarges it.
• Bosses: The "Encounters" section lists all the bosses found in the instance. Clicking on a boss brings up a page specifically for that boss which contains the in-game Dungeon Journal, Encounter Tips, LFR, Normal, Heroic and Mythic loot. Encounter Tips are new for Warlords--they give tldr information on important things each role should remember for a boss.
• Spells: From the "Dungeon Journal" tab on a boss' page, click on a spell to see how hard it hits in each difficulty—LFR, Normal, Heroic, Mythic. Just select the difficulty right underneath the spell tooltip on the page.
• Loot: The "Items" tab on the "Related" section of a Raid page breaks down all of the loot, split by difficulty. You can view the loot for a particular boss by visiting that boss' specific page too. On a boss' specific page, you can filter for loot that is appropriate for your specialization--just click on the class icons right above the loot lists.
• NPCs, Quests, and Achievements are also tracked in the Related section.

 

Loot

The gear from Blackrock Foundry starts at 655 Item Level (Raid Finder) with an additional 15 ilvls for each increase in difficulty. Each piece of gear has the chance to have a gem socket, bonus stat, or be Warforged for an additional 6 item levels. Players on the legendary ring quest line also have a chance to receive 9, 18, or 27 Elemental Runes from each boss kill.

Tier 17 gear with set bonuses is obtainable from Blackrock Foundry. Unlike past tiers, you do not need to turn a token in to a vendor--simply click on the token and it will turn into a piece of armor.

Normal, Heroic, and Mythic loot, including Tier 17 gear, has a chance to come in several variations:

• Warforged: +6 item level boost
• Tertiary stat: Avoidance, Leech, Indestructible, or Speed
• Prismatic Socket: Draenor Gems can be placed in this gear. These sockets do not have bonuses or colors.
